Chilkoot Velo Cycling Club Board
Board Meetings are the 1st Wednesdays of the month from 7:00 - 8:30 pm. The location of the meeting varies. All CVCC members are welcome to attend Board Meetings.
Brian has been with the club since its formation in 2007. He has had many past roles on the board and has had a hand in creating multiple aspects of the club. He organized the Saturday Ride Coordinators and helps out where he can.
Sully has been fortunate enough to be a part of this fine group since its forming many many years ago. He loves to ride both paved and unpaved roads, single track, and things covered in snow. You'll find him at the back of the group gritting his teeth and hanging on for dear life. He loves it!
He bowls too. Cause, why not?
Randy has been on the board of CV from the beginning, when the board of The Bikery Cycling Club decided on the name change. He enjoys being on the board and working with club members to strengthen the club. Randy believe that CV will be a stronger organization if more members become involved at all levels.
Alan began riding with The Club when it was still the Bikery Cycling Club. He feels like he can add a perspective of someone whose biking involvement has matured from the novice rider to a more intermediate, and experienced rider. Alan rides fat, mountain, gravel and road bikes. He would like to see CV grow beyond road riding, engaging more riders at all levels in all disciplines.
Mike has been a ‘bike-a-holic’ since he was about 8 years old. He took up road and velodrome track racing at age 14 in England, cyclocross at 40, triathlon at 47, fat biking at 64, and smelling the roses at 66. He was the Minnesota Cycling Federation president for four years in the early '90s and has promoted several bike races.
Maurice "Sonny" McKay
Sonny has been an avid cyclist for over 50 years. Having done many cycling tours throughout the world both on solo bike and with his wife, Nancy, on a tandem. Sonny first joined Chilkoot Velo cCub back when it was the “Bikery Race Club” in 2009 and continued as it evolved into the Chilkoot Velo. He has been involved with competitive sports at the highest levels having judged Freestyle Skiing (moguls and aerials) at the World Cup level for 25 years and at the 2006 Olympics in Turin, Italy. Other sports include waterskiing, XC skiing and golf. He continues to be a fitness buff and currently instructs strength training classes at the Stillwater FXB.
Tim is one of the three founders of the club. His focus is on simply riding because it's fun; training and racing included. A former mountain bike racer and fat bike rider, occasional bike builder and now happy going slow on a fast road bike.
