Chilkoot Velo supports organizations that get more kids on bikes. Proceeds from our Hero Gravel Classic go to youth cycling nonprofits, and our members give their time as volunteers and coaches.

Pedal Power MN
Pedal Power MN teaches Minneapolis children to ride bicycles during the school day, providing free bike fleets and instruction so cost is never a barrier. Founded in 2017, the program includes tandem and adaptive bikes for students with special needs.
Pedal Power MN received a share of the proceeds from the 2026 Hero Gravel Classic.

Little Bellas is a mountain bike mentoring program that helps girls build confidence, friendships, and a love of the outdoors through cycling.

Stillwater Area Scholastic Cycling Advocates
SASCA is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) that supports the Stillwater Area Schools Mountain Bike Team, a competitive co-ed program for students in grades 6-12. Riders learn mountain biking skills, teamwork, and confidence.
Many Chilkoot Velo members serve as volunteer coaches for the team.
